Hello all and welcome!
I'm Mike from SurgTech Academy. I live Center Point, IA and I have been teaching Surgical Technology at Kirkwood Community College in Cedar Rapids, IA for twelve years. This channel is dedicated to providing surgical technology students, practitioners, hospitals, and programs demonstrations on surg tech skills. I plan on creating new videos twice a year and continually looking at what demonstrations could impact the most people.

i wanted so bad to do this job, but for 15 or 16 bucks an hour? HELL NO!!! There is NO EXCUSE for this to pay less than a nurse just working the floor. I will gladly go to school for 2 years, be a dental hygienist and make an easy 100k - 200k plus depending on where ya live.
How's that going?
I agree, the Surgical Tech plays a Critical role in the OR which is why here in CA they are offering 27/hr right out of college and 37/hr adter 2 years experience as a Traveling ST

Does anyone know what the blue bulb supply is, that is within the saline is called?
I’m a little late, but here goes. It’s called an asepto Bulb irrigator, or some say asepto bulb syringe.
